Principal’s Message Dr.S.Harikrishnan

My dear students and staff members,

“cooperative education” is the need of the honour. I meant that groups of staff members and students among themselves can form interest groups in different areas, and exchange ideas and knowledge. They can collect learning materials from different places and exchange them .The synergy expected from cooperative education in the present day context.

With our affiliation to Anna University, the competition for educational excellence has become fiercer. With the arrival of multinational companies, the skill-set expectations are at global standards. Hence, in addition to changing learning habits to meet the academic requirements of Anna University, one should also constantly go beyond syllabus and keep himself up-to-date. Knowledge acquisition is becoming an important part of college life .We know that sharing of knowledge has a multiplier effect.

Again with the job market becoming global in nature, knowledge use is becoming a big question. The need of the hour is the use of knowledge for job creation and not for job seeking. It is increasing becoming imperative that all with knowledge need to find ways and means to use the same for creation of jobs. Use of knowledge only for job seeking limits its application and the beneficiaries of the knowledge may be beyond our shores. I strongly feel that there is a need to redesign our teaching methodologies to give importance for acquiring knowledge, greater importance for knowledge sharing and even greater importance for use of knowledge. Teachers have the responsibility to guide the learners in acquiring knowledge creation. If we are to succeed in the global market we need to position ourselves as creators of knowledge; the knowledge that can be used for the advancement of our society. We all in technical education have the moral responsibility towards the same.

If we are to go by Vision-2020 for our nation, we have to be necessarily the knowledge creators and knowledge providers. As knowledge is power, any knowledge power will be the super power. Let us make India a KNOWLEDGE POWER; let us make India a SUPER POWER. Let us work for it. Let us make it.

JAI HIND!!
